Our receptionists and team will strive to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Many times we can even get your pet in the same day for an appointment.Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We believe that prevention of disease is one of our most important duties to you and your pet. We recommend vaccination and testing programs that are tailored to your pet's individual needs. We give a physical examination to each pet, even during routine visits for vaccinations. By examining the eyes, ears, nose, teeth, heart, lungs, as well as skin and coat condition, potential problems can be treated before they develop into more serious illnesses or disabilities. Routine blood work is highly recommended for our senior patients to detect and monitor age-related health conditions.
Our hospital is equipped for a variety of surgeries. We offer: spays, neuters, c-sections, soft tissue surgery, as well as certain orthopedic and ocular procedures.
Pets require dental care similar to humans. We remove the tartar from each tooth, and then apply a fluoride treatment. Annual dental care, along with brushing, reduces bad breath, as well as plaque and tartar buildup. Poor dental care can eventually lead to more serious illness. This is due to infection associated with periodontal disease that can cause bacteria to enter the bloodstream potentially causing damage to the heart, liver, and kidneys among others.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
