We believe that prevention of disease is one of our most important duties to you and your pet. We recommend vaccination and testing programs that are tailored to your pet's individual needs. We give a physical examination to each pet, even during routine visits for vaccinations. By examining the eyes, ears, nose, teeth, heart, lungs, as well as skin and coat condition, potential problems can be treated before they develop into more serious illnesses or disabilities. Routine blood work is highly recommended for our senior patients to detect and monitor age-related health conditions.
Surgery Our hospital is equipped for a variety of surgeries including a electrosurgical unit for specific surgeries . We offer: spays, neuters, c-sections, soft tissue surgery, as well as certain orthopedic and ocular procedures. A thorough physical examination will be performed prior to your pet’s surgical procedure in order to identify any medical conditions that may complicate proceedings. During surgery, our staff will closely monitor your pet to ensure they remain stable throughout the process.
- Orthopedic Procedures -
Expert surgical care for a wide range of complex orthopedic surgeries with board-certified veterinary surgeons Dr. Lazar and Dr. Gordon from Lazar Veterinary Surgery. They perform specialized surgery alongside the doctors and staff that you know and trust here at the hospital.
Pets require dental care similar to humans. Often overlooked, dental disease can lead to systemic involvement including liver, kidney, or heart problems. We offer oral/ dental care with the same type of modern equipment that your dentist uses, with ultra sonic scaling to remove the tartar from each tooth, and polishing of your pets teeth. In some cases pets could require tooth extractions which are done in house and with pain relieving comfort. In addition, your pet also receives a fluoride treatment and complimentary trimming of nails.
Annual dental care, along with brushing, reduces bad breath, as well as plaque and tartar buildup. Poor dental care can eventually lead to more serious illness. This is due to infection associated with periodontal disease that can cause bacteria to enter the bloodstream potentially causing damage to the heart, liver, and kidneys among others.

- Home Again Micro- Chipping
Dog and cat micro chipping is a simple procedure. We simply inject a microchip, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), beneath the surface of your pets skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.
A Home Again microchip is permanent pet ID. The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it will last the life of your pet. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the pets shoulder blades. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that provides the power necessary to transmit the microchips unique cat or dog ID code and positively identifies the pet.
Home Again is the only dog & cat micro chipping product on the market today that has the Bio-Bond patented anti-migration feature to help ensure that the microchip will stay in place so that it may be easily located and scanned If your pet gets lost and is taken to an animal shelter or veterinarian, they will scan the microchip to read its unique dog or cat ID code. This is the number used by Home Again to identify the pet and retrieve your contact information, which is used to contact you and reunite you with your pet. Service includes lifetime registration.
- Digital X-ray
We use the latest in veterinary radiology technology to ensure the best of care for your pet. Digital x-rays are produced at a higher resolution, making the image much clearer and allowing specific areas to be enlarged for closer examination. Because the results are available almost instantaneously, our veterinarians can diagnose your pet’s health condition much more rapidly. These can be copied or electronically transmitted to a radiologist or specialist with no delay if needed for further evaluation.
- In- House Laboratory
We also offer in house a computerized laboratory in conjunction with the state of the art off-site laboratory Antech. With the in house lab we are able to have results for many test in 15 minutes for those pets that can’t wait overnight and need treatment.

To best serve our clients and as our clinic scheduling permits, the doctors can be available for house calls. These must be discussed and arranged in advance. Please note that there is an additional fee for these visits.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
