Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Our doctors will check the health
of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Animal Care Center & Pet House Suites for service.
Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important, the doctors can still work with whatever information you have.
In some circumstances, Dr. Roehr or Dr. Constance Houk will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.
Full payment for our veterinary services must be made at the time our services are rendered. We will gladly advise you on anticipated costs for the care of your pets. We accept payment by Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and CareCredit.
Appointment Arrival Policy-
For the safety of your pet, yourself and others, we ask that your dog is properly restrained and on a leash while in our waiting area or exam rooms. Cats must be in an appropriate carrier or leashed (and we know how much cats like leashes, so a carrier is probably the better choice!). We want to keep all pets safe and comfortable while visiting, so please, no exceptions.
Running Late ?
We are committed to doing our best to keep our appointment schedule running on time. If you are running late, please call and notify us of your estimated time of arrival.
Show Policy for Appointments
We understand there are times when you must miss an appointment due to and emergency or family/work obligations. We respectfully request 24 hours advanced notice to cancel an appointment. Please leave a voice mail or email us if after hours. When you do not call to cancel an appointment, you may be preventing another patient from receiving much needed treatment. A “no show” is someone who misses an appointment or surgery without canceling it 24 business hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. No-shows inconvenience those individuals who need access to medical care in a timely manner. A failure to present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in your chart as a “no show”. The fee for missing a regular scheduled appointment is $54.00 per pet.
Cancellation/No Show Policy for Surgery-
Due to the large block of time needed for surgery, last minute cancellations can cause problems and added expense for the office. If surgery is not canceled at least 2 days in advance, you can be charged a $100 non-refundable fee to reschedule the surgery.
